Schutt Sports has reached a multi-year agreement with the Babe Ruth League, Inc. to become the official base supplier to the Babe Ruth softball and baseball leagues as well as the Cal Ripkin baseball league. In additional, the Schutt Hollywood Kwik Release base will become the officially recommended base for those leagues.
The Schutt Hollywood Kwik-Release base was introduced in 2007 and is the premier disengaging base on the market. The top and bottom layer will detach when hit with enough force, which greatly reduces the risk of ankle, foot, and leg injuries. The Schutt Hollywood Kwik-Release base is also incredibly easy to install, typically able to utilize the ground anchors already in use on most fields.
